Range Safety Officer Training

This class is offered free of charge to members of GTGC who would like to volunteer 25 hours per year at the Club as an RSO. 

This class is also open to those who are members and non-members seeking RSO credentials but will not volunteer as and RSO for GTGC but they will pay a fee of $125. 

This course teaches the basics duties a Range Safety Officer (RSO) performs. It provides a thorough introduction to: the role of Range Safety Officers; range Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); range safety briefings; range inspections and rules; emergency procedures; and how to clear firearm stoppages and correct malfunctions.

Class will meet in Activities Building, all materials will be provided as well as lunch but feel free to bring your own lunch, snacks and drinks.  

If you are not a Club member you will be required to make an online payment ($125) as we are offering this class to the public as well as those who are volunteering to serve as RSOs at the Club. If you have any questions, please email the host at gtgctx@gmail.com.
