4-H Shooting Sports Programs

Golden Triangle Gun Club is proud to have hosted the range facilities for Jefferson County 4-H Shooting Sports programs for many years. We believe youth participation is vital to the future of the shooting sports and to the preservation of our Second Amendment rights, and we are honored to support these programs through access, mentorship, and a safe training environment.

Smallbore Rifle (.22)

The Jefferson County 4-H Smallbore Rifle program meets at the Rifle Range on Saturday mornings during the spring, beginning in January and continuing through April.
The project culminates in county and district competitions, where local teams compete against other counties across Southeast Texas. Additional competitive opportunities are available at the state level for qualifying youth shooters.

BB Gun & Sporter Air Rifle

Precision BB Gun and Sporter Air Rifle programs are offered throughout the year, depending on the availability of indoor facilities and coaching staff. These disciplines provide an excellent introduction to shooting sports, with a strong emphasis on safety, fundamentals, and marksmanship skills in a controlled environment.

Archery (4-H Youth)

The 4-H Youth Archery program introduces participants to safe and disciplined archery, focusing on proper form, range safety, equipment knowledge, and competitive fundamentals. Archery offers youth an outstanding opportunity to build focus, confidence, and consistency while participating in a lifelong sport. Program schedules and availability vary based on instructor and facility access.
