Archery Project

The 4-H Archery Project teaches youth ages 8-18 safe, responsible, and ethical archery skills, focusing on marksmanship, safety, and personal development. Participants learn compound and recurve techniques, aiming for goals like competition and passing skill levels. It promotes self-discipline, teamwork, and confidence. 

Key Aspects of the 4-H Archery Project

• Safety First: The program emphasizes strict safety standards, including proper equipment use and range safety rules.
• Skill Development: Members learn the "nine steps" of shooting a bow, including stance, nock, hook, and release.
• Equipment: Instruction covers different types of bows, including compound and recurve.
• Competitions & Events: Opportunities often include local club events, 3-D target shoots, and state-level competitions.
