ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The GTGC Highpower Junior Program was established to allow Juniors ages 13 - 20 in the Golden Triangle and surrounding areas the opportunity of participating in shooting sports. Our program consists of classroom training, dedicated practice, and monthly competitions at local and surrounding area ranges. Juniors learn to compete at both the individual and team levels. They learn competitive sportsmanship values, firearm safety, self-discipline, responsibility and marksmanship. Participants must possess a good moral character and the abilities necessary to operate a service rifle safely. Juniors who show dedication, good teamwork, and marksmanship excellence are given the opportunity to attempt to qualify to be part of the Texas Junior Service Rifle team who compete at the CMP Nationals at Camp Perry in Port Clinton Ohio. |
