About Big Thicket Outlaws

The Big Thicket Outlaws is a SASS Cowboy Action Shooting Club. Cowboys and Cowgirls dress in 1800’s period clothing and shoot originals or reproduction firearms of the 1800’s. Two single action revolvers, one pistol caliber lever action rifle or carbine, and one shotgun are used to compete. Lead bullets are required.  Come join us and take a trip back in time!

The Outlaws also participate in “Old West” re-enactments in east Texas. For more information please visit the Re-Enactments Page.

• We always welcome anyone interested in cowboy action shooting to come and visit at any of our matches. Only eye and ear protection are required. The club contacts are available if any additional information is needed.
